Born in Dublin in 1981 as one of eight children I became inspired to be a jockey by riding to school on ponies, this became my first influence.

I went on to join RACE (Racing Academy and Centre of Education) and after nine months of hard work and determination, developing core skills, I became an apprentice Jockey and have never looked back, riding my first winner Quivilly at Tipperary in 1998 .  It’s worth acknowledging this article about me, written in a book called Horses for Courses, an Irish Racing Year.

In 2004 after riding Dingle view to a group three success I was also champion apprentice in Ireland and have gone on to win many awards in the racing industry, including the prestigious Lester where I won”Lady Jockey of the year” in 2011 and numerous Sports Woman of the year awards in Ireland.
